Firework assassination blog.

Yo.

So our band is finally on the go. We're a few gigs in now and things are going swimmingly, we've also done plenty of recording, a BBC radio session and all that malarky. We have lots of shows from now 'til t'end of the year. Lots more will probably be announced but so far its:

16th November: o2 Academy, Newcastle

20th November: Blowout @ Chorlton Irish Club, Manchester

21st November: Arena, Middlesbrough

26th November: BadFormat!, Liverpool

27th November: Durham Institute Of Art, Durham

28th November: Live Lounge, Blackburn

2nd December: 229, London

10th December: End Bar, Newcastle

26th December: King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow

Very much looking forward to all these gigs. Rounding it off at King Tuts on boxing day will be great... make sure you come with gifts.

We also have lots of new songs and recordings on our MySpace (www.myspace.com/mypretendorchestra) and official website (www.mypretendorchestra.com) So tune into them. There's new pictures there aswell for you to have a gander at.

We also have a facebook page now: www.facebook.com/mypretendorchestra - Everyone is there nowadays and everybody gotta be somewhere and we gotta be there to greet them.

Someone fired a firework in the direction of my house and it landed on my garden. Someone is definitely trying to assassinate us. We've called in a 47 man security team....

Shall update again shortly if we're not killed by a sparkler

Processed Blog.

Well we're home from Secret Garden Party, and despite returning one guitar down, we had a fantastic weekend, it was the first time any of us had been to SGP and we were very impressed. Alot of time was spent in the media tent, where Alex (who helps us out, and was doing press that weekend for the festival) relentlessly topped up the beer fridge, in which we delved for most of the weekend.

Despite wanting to catch quite a few bands, we managed to only watch a handful, highlights including Florence and the machine, Little ones (of which I only caught the last song, due to an incident with some mouldy processed meat from a supermarket), and a beatboxer called 'Basics', who was brilliant.

Speaking of beatboxers, if you were lucky enough to be at the festival and happened to be in the "Antics" tent at about 1am on the sunday night/monday morning, you would have seen our very own danny onstage, performing an impromptu 3 song set with a beatboxer and two random backing-singers, I wasn't there to witness this once-in-a-lifetime performance, but I'm told by Sean that it was really as bad good as it sounds.

Thank you to everyone that watched us, we had a brilliant time, and it was good fun bumping into people/hearing people with the kazoos we handed out during the gig, they ended up everywhere, even Lykee Li had one for her gig.

Secret Garden Blog.

Hello.

We are very pleased to announce that we have been added to this years Secret Garden Party festival line-up.

We're playing on the second stage, which is rather brilliantly called "Where the wild things are", on Saturday at 3:30pm.

If you have tickets it would be great to see you, so come along and see us and say HI!

If you don't have tickets, we highly reccommend you get one, as its one the great british festivals, and encompasses all that is good about music festivals.

There's some other great bands playing such as Late of the pier, Operator Please, Metronomy, The Whip and Little Ones to name but a few.
